iTero Digital Impressions
Nebraska Orthodontics is proud to offer iTero Digital Impressions for our patients. Unpleasant putty impressions are a thing of the past with the iTero Digital system! The accuracy and detail of the iTero scan vs. a putty impression are comparable to watching 4K HDTV over standard definition TV.
The iTero Scanner captures the contours of the tooth and gingival structures, producing an accurate digital orthodontic scan in minutes. This non-invasive procedure is ideal for patients undergoing treatment with Invisalign and clear aligners. No unpleasant putty material is traditionally associated with taking impressions.
How iTero Works
The iTero is a high-tech 3D scanner which takes digital images of your teeth, creating a 3D model of your bite with incredible accuracy. You can see a model of your own teeth immediately! The iTero digital scanner will create a simulation of your smile after Invisalign treatment, which provides an opportunity to see your new smile before ever committing to treatment.

3D Printing
Technology has always transformed orthodontics, and 3D printing is the next big advancement. By utilizing this exciting technology, we are able to improve treatment and outcomes for our patients by offering in-house production of aligners, appliances, and retainers with unmatched accuracy.
After using our iTero scanner to create a digital model, we are able to print a 3D model of your teeth; furthermore, we can make additional modifications to these 3D models to create in-house aligners for limited treatment of areas of crowding and relapse. Again, it’s our investment for you, resulting in another method of providing better treatment and, ultimately, better outcomes with an improved patient experience. A true win-win!
